My journey with Goodwood Park Healthcare Group now spans seven years!!
I started in 2010 as a part-time support worker in the newly established Bay of Plenty Supported Living Service. This is a fast paced contract which I love, you never know what the day will bring. The early days were certainly exciting times as the team grew from the ground up as our referrals increased. The support and training received from senior management during these early years was invaluable to the success of the service and building some very green recruits into exceptional support workers. As we grew, I then progressed into an assessor position within the service, responsible for developing goal focused service plans for our clients. In 2012 I applied for and secured the Team Leader position for the Bay of Plenty team. Another string to my bow, leadership.
And here we are in 2017! I am currently the Community Services Manager for the organisation. I am responsible for the smooth running of all the community services in Goodwood Park Healthcare Group. I have been in this role since October 2015.
Goodwood Park Healthcare Group has given me the opportunity to upskill in my chosen field of healthcare and progress my career in a supportive, familiar environment. I am very grateful to Goodwood Park Healthcare Group for the numerous training opportunities provided to all staff and their continued dedication to quality. I feel privileged to work alongside some exceptionally talented and passionate people who only want the very best outcomes for our clients. Needless to say, I have learnt a lot over the past seven years.
