Goodwood Park Healthcare Group was successful in an 18 month tender process. The tender was to design and deliver a brand new innovative service alongside Waitemata DHB working with some of the most complex Mental Health clients in the region. Building on our knowledge and experience of the Gated Community, we have decided to purpose build a specialist facility in which to deliver the service.
In the meantime, an interim service is being operated out of our Willow and Glen Road facilities. The service features individual plans for each client provided by, but not limited to, registered nurses, social workers and occupational therapists. We will be innovative in how we design and operate the programmes and therapeutic interventions.
Initial outcomes include:
- Reduction in the number of inpatient admissions
- Drop in absences from the service provision
- Re-engagement with families/whanau
- Reduction in incidents of aggression and violence
- Improved engagement in rehabilitation activities and programmes
