Topic: Career Progression
After graduating in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in applied social services I was looking for a role where I would be able to work to improve lives of people and ir families. I joined Northland Goodwood Park Healthcare groups supported living service in July 2016 as a support worker. I am now moving into an assessor role where I assess and review client’s needs and abilities to develop plans and strategies to enable clients to have a higher quality of life. I feel fortunate to have been offered professional development opportunities by Goodwood Park and I am currently studying to complete an Apprenticeship in Traumatic Brain Injury. I will also soon start studying for a level four Mental Health and Addictions qualification. Goodwood Park have provided me with a supportive and inclusive environment to learn and develop my social work skills. I enjoy coming to work each day as I know that I am making a difference in lives of people I work with.
