Goodwood Park is a residential service that provides an environment that
supports and enhances the quality of life, independence and integration,
with a recovery focus for service users experiencing mental illness.
Goodwood Park focuses on enabling service users to move progressively to
towards their goals through the provision of a continuum of care.
Goodwood Park values the collaboration and contributions made by tangata
whai ora/service users, family, whanau and the wider community that supports
quality of service delivery whilst striving towards excellence in mental
health provision.
Management Team
Debbie Wood
General Manager
I have been working at GPT for the last ten years in various roles, I
started in a part time position working on afternoon shift, I progressed to
team leader and moved onto the position of operation Manager. In 2006, I
took up the role of General Manger to Goodwood park Trust Services. prior
experience, I have been working in the Mental Health field for the last
twenty years from an acute setting to community work. I am currently working
on my way through a Diploma in management and have achieved several other
training certificates along the way. in my other life I am a mum of two
children my daughter is thirteen and my son is nine we have several animals
also that make up my family. I have been married since 1990 and I have
passion for working with people and been able to make a difference in
peoples life's.
Erica Beattie
Clinical Director & Board Member
In 1981 I graduated as a Comprehensive Nursing Training at Christchurch
Polytechnic. I then moved to Auckland and worked at Greenlane Hospital and
then Carrignton Hospital before getting married and travelling to Australia
and UK.
I have worked in various healthcare settings such as General physical
health, practice nursing, managed 40 bed resthome, but most of my experience
has been psychiatry. In 1989 I was founding partner of Goodwood Park and in
1995 and founding Director of Ranworth Healthcare.
I have lived and worked in Kumeu for the last 18years and am mother to five
children.
Anneka Beattie
Team Leader
I have been working at GPT with consumers who have experienced either a
Mental Health Illness or a brain injury since 2003. Prior to that I worked
on a dairy farm north of Wellsford.
Outside of work I am involved with our local fire service as a volunteer
fire woman, and I also enjoy working with my 3 horses.
Since I started at GPT I have completed the National Mental Health
Certificate and several other training courses.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and the opportunity it provides to make a
difference in people's lives.
Helen Whittaker
Team Leader - Operation's
I have worked at Goodwood Park trust for the past five years. working in
mental health was a new direction for me and during this time I have
completed the National Certificate in Mental Health and Recovery paper at
AUT. I began as a Support worker and my role has now changed to that of team
Leader. I find working in Mental health both rewarding and challenging,
consistently providing the opportunity to work from a strengths based model
which supports and challenges our clients to face the future in an
optimistic way. I have 4 children 3 of which are currently overseas and 3
grandchildren who are also overseas so enjoy spending my leave visiting
abroad.
Laraine Stevens
Chief Executive Officer
Goodwood Park Trust conception occurred in August 1988 and two years later I
joined the organisation in an administrative role. As the organisation grew
and developed I became a member of Goodwood Park Trust's management team,
which led to my current role of Chief Executive Officer.
During my working life and I have completed the New Zealand Diploma of
Business and a Diploma in Management.
Prior to working at Goodwood Park Trust I lived and worked in Australia
until I married and moved to New Zealand. I am also a mother of two
children, have several pets and likes to read and travel when time allows.
Sheryl Lean
Administration
I am usually the person you first speak to when you phone GPT. Working in
Administration at GPT for many years, I also have a close Woking
relationship with clients. My role in multi faceted as I attend to accounts
and assist the clients, staff and CEO in many areas.
I have a teaching background, mainly in teaching English to foreign students
(ESOL).
Raewyn Knight
Complex needs Packages of Care Service Manager
As an occupational therapist, I have had a close relationship with Goodwood
Park Trust over the past 8 years working firstly with clients with traumatic
brain injuries and, since March this year, with clients who have mental
health problems and complex needs.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and the challenges it presents. I have had
experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings where I have been
committed to enabling people to live the lives they want. Having completed a
post graduate diploma in rehabilitation, I am now writing a thesis towards a
Masters of Health Science. I enjoy being with my family, having fun with
friends and sailing the Hauraki Gulf.

Ken Boler
Board Member
Ken gained his ACA qualification in 1982.and admitted to membership of the
New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants in the same year. He was
appointed a Business Advisory Partner of Brown Woolley and Graham, Chartered
Accountants in 1985 at the age of 28.
Ken is Managing Director / Partner of Grant Thornton Auckland & specialises
in business planning and development, performance monitoring and management,
structuring for asset protection and taxation efficiencies.
Ken has been the accountant to Goodwood Park from its inception in 1991 and
appointed a Trustee in 2001. Ken has lived in the Huapai – Kumeu area all of
his life and has developed a particular interest in mental health.
Ken’s outside of work interests include spending time with his family,
boating, camping, and quad biking.
