I have been working at Goodwood
Park for 15 years.
I bring to this service over 20
years of employment in Mental Health
sector and a passion for making a
difference in peoples lives.
My husband and I have lived and
worked in West Auckland all our live
and we spend most of our free time
bringing up our two teenage
children.
The organisation continues to
grow and we now have two separate
divisions responsible for Mental
Health service delivery and
Traumatic Brain Injury
rehabilitation. I look forward to
this continued expansion as The
Goodwood Park Healthcare Group
continues in its strive towards
being a quality driven market
leader.

In 1981 I graduated from
Christchurch Polytechnic as a
Comprehensive Nurse.
I then moved to Auckland and
worked at Greenlane Hospital for two
years before transferring to
Carrington Hospital.
I have worked in various health
settings but most of my experience
is in psychiatry.
In 1988 I was a founding partner of
Goodwood Park and in 1995 also
Ranworth Healthcare.
I have lived and worked in Kumeu
for the last 20 years and am mother
to five children. |
Laraine Stevens
Chief Financial
Officer
I am currently Goodwood Park’s Chief
Financial Officer and have been
involved with the organization for
many years.
Over the past several years I have
participated in the growth and
development of the services that
Goodwood Park Healthcare provides.
I work closely with the
administration team on a day to day
basis, the management team and a
variety of external stakeholders
including families.
I enjoy my job and the challenges it
brings everyday.
My “other life” involves being a
mother, a wife, a slave to our
family pets especially the cat and
enjoying the delights that New
Zealand has to offer. |

Sharryn Turner
Team Leader
Hi my name is Sharryn Turner. For
the past 12 years I have worked
alongside people with physical and
intellectual disabilities in various
roles from a support worker to team
leader.
In August 2009 I joined Goodwood
Park Trust as Team Leader and am
enjoying the interaction with
clients and their families. I enjoy
supporting clients to achieve their
goals and the environment here is
lovely. I am now responsible for
Human Resources within the Group.
I live locally and am lucky
enough to be surrounded by my
family. I have been married for 18
years and have two children, 17 and
15 years old. My family keep me busy
but in my spare time I enjoy time in
the garden, walks on the beach, my
friends and animals.

Sarah
Crookes
Coordinator of
Complex Packages of Care
I have recently joined Goodwood Park
Trust as Coordinator of Complex
Packages of Care, working with
people with Complex Mental Health
issues combined with high personal
support needs. I graduated at UNITEC
in 2005 with a Bachelor of Social
Practice majoring in Social Work.
I
am very passionate about supporting
people to reach their goals and to
attain the best level of recovery
possible given their health
concerns. I have previously worked
across several sectors of the Social
Services from advocacy, working with
victims of crime, care and
protection, mental health in
forensics and the community.
My most
recent role was assessing and
working with clients referred by ACC
with serious brain and spinal
injuries. I have resided in West
Auckland for the past twenty years,
have two beautiful children and very
much enjoy the environmental
lifestyle that Waitakere brings.

Kenny Paton
Service Leader
My name is Kenny Paton and I joined the group in November 2009 in
the role of Service Leader and am really excited by the challenge
and the opportunity to help grow and develop the organization. This
position encompasses our Supported Living Contract with ACC as well
as the role of Business Development Manager for the group – an area
of huge scope.
I have an Honours Degree in Social Work and a Diploma in Youth
and Community Work and have been working with people for the past 20
years in a variety of fields including homelessness, alcohol and
drugs, youth, crime and mental health.
I am married with three girls and emigrated to NZ just over four
years ago and now live as a Westie in the lovely village of Huia.

Ken Boler
Board Member
Ken gained his ACA qualification
in 1982 and was admitted to
membership of the New Zealand
Institute of Chartered Accountants
in the same year. He was appointed a
Business Advisory Partner of Brown
Woolley and Graham, Chartered
Accountants in 1985 at the age of
28.
Brown Woolley and Graham evolved over time to become
Grant Thornton Auckland.
Ken was a Director/Partner of Grant Thornton Auckland
specialising in business planning and development, performance
monitoring and financial management, structuring for asset protection
and taxation efficiencies up until his retirement from full time
chartered accounting at the end of December 2009.
Ken's focus now is on assisting the Goodwood Park Healthcare
Group to continue its dynamic development as a leading provider
of Mental Health Care and Traumatic Brain Injury
rehabilitation services.
Ken has been the accountant to
Goodwood Park from its inception in
1991 and appointed a Trustee in
2001. Ken has lived in the Huapai –
Kumeu area all of his life and has
developed a particular interest in
mental health.
Ken’s outside of work interests
include spending time with his
family, boating, camping, and quad
biking.

 Andrew Beattie
Board Member
55 Years old, Registered
Comprehensive Nurse with a varied
employment history that includes
(during a 30 year career) working in
Australia with alcoholics, in the
United Kingdom
in forensic Psychiatry (mental
health clients with a criminal
history) and a variety in New
Zealand. in
institutional and community
settings. While previously the
Nurse Advisor for Mental Health
under the old area Health Board and
in recent years have also been
heavily involved in Brain Injury
Rehabilitation and was nominated by
Accident Compensation Commission to represent providers on the
committee that provided the recently
published the National Guidelines
for Brain Injury Rehabilitation.
In his personal life Andrew is
married with 5 children, has a keen
interest in sport and is the Chief
Fire Officer for the Local Volunteer
Fire Brigade. |
